Volunteer Webmaster

EcoWB is seeking a highly-skilled volunteer Webmaster to manage the organization’s web presence. The Webmaster will be responsible for ensuring that EcoWB’s website is user-friendly, visually-pleasing, and optimized to promote our mission and values. Work would be conducted remotely from the volunteer’s location, and is expected to amount to 10-15 hours per month. Applicant must be willing to serve as Webmaster for a minimum of 1 year.


  • Evaluate current website hosting, content management system, and performance, and provide recommendations for improvement to the Board of Directors
  • Implement web design and hosting changes, if determined to be necessary
  • Ensure functionality and usability of website
  • Monitor and analyze site performance (e.g., traffic, conversions) and provide regular reports to the Marketing & Communications team
  • Review SEO (search engine optimization)
  • Monitor security and perform all necessary updates
  • Update website content with the assistance of EcoWB’s Web Content Manager
  • Coordinate with the Marketing & Communications team regarding digital content and marketing strategies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with website development and digital design
  • Advanced knowledge of web analytics and SEO
  • Advanced knowledge of website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Duda)
  • Proficient in relevant coding languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, PHP,  JavaScript)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work remotely with minimal direction
